A “Science and Technology Park” is an organization managed by professionals with the main goal of incrementing the wealth of the society through encouraging innovation culture and constructive competition between the companies present in the Science Park and knowledge-based institutions. To achieve this goal, a Science Park initiates and manages the flow of science and technology in universities, research and development institutions, private companies and the market, and facilitates the growth and development of innovation-based companies through Incubation Centers and generative processes. In addition, it also provides other convenient services including work spaces and high quality facilities.
Qazvin Science and Technology Park started its activity in March 2012 under the supervision of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in an area of 30 hectares. This Science Park is located near two major academic centers geographically and is 15 km away from the industrial city of Qazvin.
Qazvin Science Park started as a university research park in 2008 and under the supervision of Imam Khomeini International University and was inaugurated in 2010 by Dr. Camran Daneshju, the Minister of Science, Research and Technology.
Afterwards, in accordance with bill Sixty-one of the technology committee of the Minister of Science, Research and Technology, regarding the authority of Science and Technology Parks in technological areas of each province and coordination of Incubator centers, Qazvin Science Park started its formal ativity as a Provincial Park.
